After 5 years off the bike Oisin Mooney has made a welcome return to racing on the Irish downhill circuit. With a hard winters training behind him and some fine tuning of his impeccable bike handling skills Oisin headed off to Rostrevor in Co. Down for Round 1 of the 5 race NPS Downhill series.
With a total entry of 250 riders Oisin exceeded all expectations and finished 4th in his category, with only 1 second seperating him from 2nd and 3rd place. A fine performance from Oisin showed he has not lost any of his old speed and skill required for the daredevil antics involved in this field of the sport. Round 2 of the series takes place in Fermoy on My the 8th and with a little luck Oisin will move on the top step of the podium.
