Racing Season Returns

This weekend saw the Martin Cadden sponsored squad return to racing with Basil Freeman riding the cycleways Cup in Navan, Co. Meath. Freeman performed well throughout the 100km event and finished just outside the prizes in 12th spot in a field of 150 riders. The cadden squad will field a full team of riders in next weekends Ras Naomh Finian, with the “A” squad containing Michael Devins and Alex Carey having returned from a tough training camp in Lanzarote. Devins was in scorching form towards the end of last season taking a great win in stage 3 of the Ballinrobe 2 Day and proving unbeatable in the Sligo Tri Club time trial series. He hopes to continue as he left off last year and put his sprinting prowess to good use with a podium finish next week.
