Yeats Country Sportif & Ladies Tour Of Lough Gill

Innisfree Wheelers from Sligo host two events in the month of September.On September 4th they host their annual Yeats Country Sportive
with three route options the Yeats Country Spin 60km,the Yeats Country Tour 100km and the Yeats Country Challenge 150km.All of the events are geared to the Leisure rider covering all abilities of club cyclists.The route will all be route marked and marshalled with both static and mobile marshalls.Back up will also be provided from both a medical and mechanical point of view.Food and Water Stops will be provided for all competitors taking part to provide for an event well worth paying a visit to the North West for.Entry Fee 15 euro for all events with registration taking place at the Sligo Clarion Hotel from 8.30am with a start time of 9.30am for all events.
 
Also as in the previous three years the club will host their now annual Ladies Tour of Lough Gill on Saturday September 24th.This event is unique in the fact that it is a Ladies only event.It has been a hugely successful event in the last number of years with numbers increasing annualy.The 40km route around the scenic Lough Gill is geared to cyclists new to the sport but as in previous years the experienced Ladies have also come along to make it a big day out for the lady cyclists.Feedback from previous years has found that competitors needs are catered for in every way,from Event T-Shirts to Food Stops and this year the provision of post event facilities such as refreshments,showers and sports massage.Cycling Ireland lady members are requested to make a big effort to come along and enjoy this special day of cycling and also raise funds for the Sligo Cancer Support Centre.Accomodation is available at a reduced rate for overnight stay at the Clarion Hotel Sligo the start location for the event.Registration for the event will take place from 9.00am on the morning of the event at the Clarion Hotel with a 15euro entry fee followed by the start time of 11.00am.The event is supported by the Irish Sports Council and HSE West under the Get Active programme.The programme is co-ordinated locally by the Sligo Sports Partnership.
